QuickBooks is cloud-based accounting software from Intuit that brings bookkeeping, invoicing, bill pay, payroll and financial reporting into one platform. It is built for businesses of any size, from solopreneurs to established companies, that want to manage day-to-day finances without stitching together separate tools.
The software connects to bank accounts and links with more than eight hundred third-party applications, including PayPal, Shopify, Square and Mailchimp, so transactions are pulled in and categorized automatically instead of entered by hand. Bills can be organized and paid, invoices sent with online payment links, and payroll run with built-in tax handling, while time tracking, project and inventory tools cover more specialized workflows. An AI layer called Intuit Intelligence answers plain-language questions about the business, such as what is driving profit, and surfaces suggested tax deductions and cash flow forecasts. Intuit reports that customers using these tools average double-digit revenue growth and meaningful reductions in operating costs and time spent on bookkeeping.
QuickBooks offers a free basic plan alongside paid subscription tiers such as Solopreneur, Essentials and Advanced, which add more users, deeper reporting and additional automation as a business grows.
