WHOOP is a screenless wearable that tracks sleep, strain, recovery and stress around the clock instead of focusing on step counts or individual workouts. It is designed for athletes, coaches and health-conscious users who want continuous data on how training, sleep and daily stress affect the body over time.
The band measures heart rate, skin temperature, blood oxygen and movement while sleeping and awake, then turns the readings into daily recovery and strain scores plus coaching guidance inside the WHOOP app. Depending on the membership tier, hardware such as the WHOOP MG adds on-demand ECG readings, blood pressure insights and irregular heart rhythm detection, and members also get access to the Natural Cycles app.
WHOOP is sold as an annual membership rather than a one-time device purchase. Three tiers are available: WHOOP One, WHOOP Peak and WHOOP Life, priced at $199, $239 and $359 per year, with each higher tier adding more monitoring features and hardware capability than the one below it.
